Admissions Criteria

You are welcome to make an appointment with the Admissions Office to discuss any questions you may have or take a tour of the school. Whitman Academy admits students from all over the world. Students must hold a passport from a foreign country in order to be admitted, per Jordanian law.
Our most important consideration in Admissions decisions is whether or not Whitman Academy will be able to meet the learning, behavioral, language, and well-being needs of the student in a way that allows him or her to thrive in our school.
Admissions Requirements
- Parents must sign the Statement of Evangelical Faith, Child Protection Policy and Parent Admission Agreement Form.
- Every applicant must be at least 6 years of age by December 31st in order to be eligible for 1st grade that school year.
- To maintain the Mission and Vision of the school, admissions priority is given to expat families, who are living outside of their “home” culture.
- Prospective students must hold a non-Jordanian passport.
- Applicants must meet appropriate standards for fluency in English. Parents of students learning English as an additional language will be contacted to schedule an English language assessment.
- A family interview may be requested before an admission decision is made.
- Elementary students may not be admitted to a class in which they are more than one year older or younger than their classmates.
Student with Special Educational Needs
Our desire is to admit students with a wide range of strengths and academic abilities. Admissions decisions will be made on a case by case basis, according to our ability to meet the needs of the student with our available personnel and facility resources.

Admissions Dates
Applications for the 2026–2027 school year are open!
Apply Online
Create or log into your account, complete the application, upload documents, and pay the fee of 15 JD / $25 USD to finalize your submission.
Supporting Documents
Provide a copy of student’s passport, latest report card, transcripts, teacher recommendation and any learning support documents (IEP or assessments, if applicable).
Entrance Testing
Applicants may complete English and/or Math assessments to support placement. 2nd language English speakers take a brief reading, writing, and speaking test, Parents will be contacted directly if testing is needed.
Interview & Review
The Admissions Team reviews each application, considering academics, language, and international experience. Interviews may be requested for some applicants.
